G-PROJECT 2026: GUMANDE Takes the Race to Xiaogan

G-PROJECT 2026: GUMANDE Takes the Race to Xiaogan

June 28, 2026 | GUMANDE Performance Tires

Two days of intense racing came to an end on June 28 as the 2026 GUMANDE G-PROJECT Cup made its second stop of the season at HIKC — Hubei International Karting Circuit in Xiaogan, China.

With riders and teams coming from across the country, the Xiaogan round delivered close competition, demanding track conditions, and another valuable opportunity for GUMANDE to put performance to the test.

For GUMANDE, G-PROJECT is about more than racing.

It is where performance is challenged, measured, and improved.

A Demanding Track for Riders and Machines

The HIKC circuit features a 1,240-meter layout with 17 corners, combining elevation changes and technical sections that demand precise bike control, confident cornering, and smart race strategy.

From official practice and qualifying to two rounds of final competition, riders faced a progressively demanding weekend.

Qualifying pushed riders to search for every fraction of a second. In the finals, close battles and changing race positions tested their ability to maintain control while pushing their machines to the limit.

For a performance tire, these are exactly the conditions that matter.

Hard acceleration.
Heavy braking.
Rapid direction changes.
Repeated cornering loads.
Continuous heat and pressure.

Every lap provides another opportunity to understand how a tire performs when the margin for error becomes smaller.

Five Classes. Riders From Across China.

The Xiaogan round featured five racing classes:

  • Mini GP International
  • Mini GP Domestic
  • Youth Open
  • Electric Motorcycle Open A
  • Electric Motorcycle Open B

The field brought together professional racers, experienced amateur riders, and young competitors developing their skills on the track.

That diversity is an important part of G-PROJECT.

High-level motorsport creates a platform for experienced competitors to push performance, while giving younger riders an environment where they can develop confidence, technique, and race awareness.

For GUMANDE, it also means exposure to a wide range of riding styles, machines, and racing conditions.

The Track Is the Test

Performance specifications can tell part of a tire's story.

The track tells the rest.

A racing environment creates conditions that are difficult to reproduce anywhere else. Tires are subjected to repeated cornering forces, rapid acceleration and braking, temperature changes, and continuous cycles of high load.

These conditions allow GUMANDE to observe tire behavior under real competitive pressure.

Through G-PROJECT, race experience and technical feedback become part of an ongoing development process — helping engineers and product teams better understand performance, durability, handling, and consistency.

Race data becomes development insight.

And development insight ultimately leads to better tires.

Safety Comes First

Performance only matters when it is built around responsible competition.

The Xiaogan event was supported by dedicated safety, medical, technical, and event personnel throughout the weekend. The competition was conducted with structured race procedures and safety protocols designed to protect riders, teams, and spectators.

G-PROJECT also provides an opportunity to promote responsible riding and a stronger culture of organized motorsport.

For GUMANDE, growing the performance tire market means growing the motorsport community responsibly — with safety, skill, and respect for the sport at its foundation.

Building the Next Generation of Racers

One of the most rewarding aspects of G-PROJECT is seeing younger riders take on increasingly demanding challenges.

Competition creates pressure, but it also creates opportunity.

Every qualifying session teaches precision.
Every corner teaches control.
Every race teaches strategy.
Every mistake becomes experience.

By bringing different generations of riders together, G-PROJECT helps create a stronger motorsport community while giving emerging racers a platform to develop their skills.

The 2026 G-PROJECT Journey Continues

The Xiaogan round is part of GUMANDE's 2026 four-city G-PROJECT Cup series.

The season has already visited Chengdu and Xiaogan, with the championship continuing to:

Huai'an — next stop
Guangzhou — season finale

Each round brings a new circuit, new conditions, new competitors, and new opportunities to push performance further.

And for GUMANDE, that means more real-world racing experience and more opportunities to learn from the track.

The Journey Continues

The checkered flag in Xiaogan marks the end of one race weekend — not the end of the journey.

G-PROJECT was created around a simple belief:

Performance should be tested, not just claimed.

From professional racers to young riders taking their first steps into competitive motorsport, every rider contributes to the culture of performance that drives GUMANDE forward.

The next track is waiting.

The next challenge is waiting.

And the next lap is another opportunity to improve.

G-PROJECT by GUMANDE.

Race. Test. Learn. Improve.

The journey continues.
